Asparagus is an excellent source of Vitamin B6, calcium, magnesium and zinc. Asparagus is also a member of the lily family and is related to the onion, leek and garlic family. It takes 3 years from seed to the first harvest of Asparagus. Our Asparagus is planted in our beautiful sandy loam soil which is best suited to grow great asparagus. When the temperature is perfect Asparagus can grow up to 6 inches per day.
 
At Drummond House we handpick our beautiful asparagus spears one by one every moring at 6am and again in the evening. Our fresh delicious Asparagus heralds the start of Summer and for the next 6-8 weeks we pick and pack our fresh homegrown spears each day.
